Puri Jagannadh directed movie Nenu Naa Rakshasi, starring Ileana and DaggubatiRana is expected to release for Pongal, 2011. But, as per the latest developments movie  is likely to get postponed to March. Telugu film industry  strike regarding various issues effected the post production work and they are stalled at that moment.

Puri Jagannadh is making this film with a different storyline. He has shot a separate comedy track on Ali and Mumaith Khan in Nenu Naa Rakshasi. Rana playing completely a different role  and this will be the ‘real’ test for him

Bappi lahari's son pappi lahari and  Vishal Shekhar, who scored music for Chintakayala Ravi starring Venkatesh, scored music for Nenu Naa Rakshasi. The movie is produced by Nallamalapu Srinivas (Bujji) under Lakshmi Narasimha Productions.
